Doug, Hanno, and Gary discussing the future of cloud computing in VFX
Our recent LA event was an absolute powerhouse! Imagine leaders from Disney, HBO, Netflix, and other big players all under one roof, in an intimate conversation discussing the impact of cloud computing in visual effects. It was THE place to be. Our star-studded panel featured:
Hanno Basse, the CTO of Digital Domain (formerly VP of Azure M&E and 20th Century Fox) and a contributor to MovieLabs 2030 Vision. Hanno's reputation precedes him; his insights on the potential of cloud computing in VFX were nothing short of revolutionary.
Gary Palmer, the CEO of upstart Electric Sheep. Gary’s background in building platform products for film and VFX influenced his vision for what’s next, leveraging the power of the cloud with the latest in AI/ML.
We discussed the benefits of migrating the VFX pipeline to the cloud and the scalability it adds to remote work. We even uncovered the major unaddressed issue of cross-studio ownership of cloud data.
